Gecko x Dream Awake Auditions

Gecko and Dream Awake (a newly-formed immersive company) are delighted to be opening auditions for physical theatre performers and actor-musicians to join both companies across 2024, 2025 and beyond!

Gecko are working on a number of exciting projects including a tour of The Wedding beginning autumn 2024 and are looking for exceptional performers and facilitators to expand their international ensemble.

Dream Awake will be developing The Deal; a brand new, immersive show (created by Amit Lahav), which will take place on a beautiful 1960’s cruise ship permanently docked in Shenzhen, China. The show will be created and rehearsed in the UK across 2024 and Spring 2025 before opening in Summer 2025. Dream Awake are looking for brave, playful, physical performers and actor-musicians for this exciting new production.

If your application is successful, the next stage will be an audition workshop during the week commencing 29th April 2024 in London. The final stage will be a paid, weeklong residency during the week commencing 3rd June in Ipswich.

Due to the high number of applications we’re anticipating to receive, it won’t be possible for us to contact everyone. Therefore, if you have completed the application form but haven’t heard from us by Monday 22nd April then unfortunately on this occasion we won’t be taking your application further.

Gecko is committed to creating opportunities for those who are underrepresented in the arts and we are particularly keen to receive applications from artists from the global majority, those from a lower socio-economic background, d/Deaf, neurodivergent and disabled artists.
